Who We Are

The Princeton Men’s Club Soccer Team (PMCS) is an officially recognized Princeton club sport for students who are not on the varsity team but still want to compete at a high level in college. We bring together players with strong backgrounds, a love for the game, and a commitment to representing Princeton with energy and professionalism.

Any enrolled Princeton student — undergraduate or graduate — is encouraged to try out during our annual fall tryouts.

Being on the Team

During the semester, we practice three times a week, often in the evening to avoid conflicts with classes. Attendance and performance are both expected, and they play a major role in who earns playing time in competitive matches.

We compete in Region 1: New Jersey Division of the NIRSA soccer league, with games typically held on Saturdays. In the spring, we also compete in the Annual Ivy League Tournament against the other seven Ivy League schools.

The Practice Squad

The practice squad is a non-competitive option for players who are not yet ready for the full team commitment or do not qualify for the competitive squad. There are no cuts, and the group meets weekly for pickup games using the team’s equipment and facilities.

Top-performing practice squad players have earned spots on the competitive team in the past and often gain a strong advantage at future tryouts.
